The original scripted ending for RAW's 15th Anniversary show called for McMahon to be laid out by either Stone Cold or Undertaker, and then have Bret Hart put Vince in the sharpshooter while the show went off the air. Of course, Hart turned down the invite and WWE went with a different direction.
WWE will be taping WWE SmackDown and ECW on Sci Fi tonight (Tuesday) in Rochester, NY. Ric Flair is scheduled to continue his storyline on this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown. New WWE Champion Edge is also scheduled to celebrate his Championship victory. A Champion vs. Champion match is confirmed for ECW on Sci Fi featuring ECW Champion CM Punk going up against WWE US Champion MVP. This will be the last WWE live event until after Christmas.
Two idiot fans at RAW tried to run backstage during the opening segment with Vince McMahon. The two were quickly escorted out of the arena by security.
Triple H took a hard shot from William Regal during the Handicap match. He was sporting a welt backstage after the match and it was visible during a backstage segment later in the show with Ric Flair & Vince McMahon.
RAW is taped next Monday (Christmas Eve). The show is the 'Tribute To The Troops' and full spoilers are posted on the main nrewsboard,
After tomorrow, everyone is off for the holidays. The RAW crew flies home tonight and vacation starts today. They return on December 26th, the day after Christmas. I know the SD! and ECW crew returns to my hometown of Albany, NY on the 26th.
Despite appearing on RAW, Ric Flair will be traveling to Rochester and will appear on the SD! taping tonight (Tuesday).
It was announced on RAW that in two weeks when the show returns live on New Years Eve (December 31st), Ric Flair will face Triple H with his career on the line again. Vince muttered to Flair in a backstage segment “New Year’s Eve…two weeks from tonight…your career is on the line…against you (to Triple H)…Happy New Year."
JBL will be appearing on RAW on New Years Eve (two weeks from now when they return live).
Tino Martinez from Houston, TX sent this one in:I never thought I would ever see this happen. I heard about how stores don't like mentioning anything to do w/Chris Benoit, but I didn't expect to see it myself. At a Walmart a friend notice 2 WWE logo stickers covering someone. Turns out they placed these stickers over all the Adrenaline Packs that had Chris Benoit on the back preview for future series. It was a sad sighting...
Edge and The Major Brothers are expected to be pushed hard on this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown (taped tonight - Tuesday). There has been talk of having a top heel group being formed on WWE SmackDown due to the lack of top heels on the roster.
Bret Hart putting Vince in the Sharpshooter truly would've rocked, but I personally really like it when they bring all the Superstars to the ring. If they had have come to the ring and THEN Bret put him in the Sharpshooter, THAT would've owned.
The Benoit news is funny, because Hard Knocks is still available every down here. Hell, my own store even sells the Benoit "Ruthless Agression Series" figure.

The Edge/Majors storyline sounds interesting since I dig stables. I hope it will be more like Evolution rather than the Cabinet in terms of success, but with the one great heel leader and a bland tag team, it's looking more like the latter.
Flair/Trips should be good. Interesting to see how they book their way out of that one without hurting either man.
Also, for anyone who thinks Bret Hart will ever appear on television in that sort of capacity, THINK AGAIN! If Bret ever decides to swallow his pride, it'll more than likely be for a farewell speech or a book shill and nothing more. Until that happens (which seem like an eternity away), there is no reason for him to compromise his values and come back to in-ring segments for a one night pop.
Until that speech dealio happens, you can forget anything cool like that involving the Hitman. Even after, using common sense, it is not hard to deduce that anything beyond that is highly unlikely.

This left the superstars stranded in an unsecure location in Tarmiyah, Iraq where they were in the middle of a war zone that featured fires, smoke, dead animals, and razor wire.
There was a bit of a plane scare not long ago. I still maintain that traveling in large groups is stupid, because if the plane goes down, so does the half company. They really should pay the bit extra and halve the talent on the flights as an added precaution.

WWE threatens to leave Georgia
World Wrestling Entertainment says it will pull out of the state if subjected to state regulation.
"If those regulation are applied to us, we won't do Georgia," WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt warned Monday afternoon.
The threat came on the eve of Tuesday morning's scheduled 11 a.m. meeting of the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission in which the state governing body is expected to discuss abuses in professional wrestling.
The body, which is better known as the state boxing commission, regulates the state's boxing and mixed martial arts, as well as ticket brokers.
Professional wrestling also falls under the group's jurisdiction, but the WWE had been exempt thanks to a 2005 statute that excluded groups with total assets or more than $25 million. Only the state Legislature can undo the exemption.
"Almost every state knows, and has known for years, that wrestling is entertainment and not a sport," he said. "It's like Ice Capades."
Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission chairman Kelly Farr declined comment when reached at his office.
One of the board's commissioners, Atlanta-based attorney Cary Ichter, represents the father of deceased wrestler Chris Benoit, whose murder of his wife and son and subsequent suicide at their family home in Fayettville precipitated the series of events leading to this point.
Ichter, who has championed for the better care of wrestlers since the Benoit tragedy in late June, said he wasn't surprised to hear of the WWE's threat to pull out.
"What else would you expect a bully to say?" he said.
Tuesday's meeting of the boxing commission is expected to focus largely on small-time wrestling events and not the conglomerate that is the Connecticut-based WWE.
The commission is expected to take public comment before considering a number of amendments to its rules.
Ichter has said he would love to see the WWE's loophole eventually rescinded and have its performers subject to drug testing and other regulation just like participants from other sports in Georgia.
The WWE will be back in town next week when it hosts its "Raw Live" show at Phillips Arena on Dec. 28.
Ok if the WWE gets regulated I want a line set up in Vegas so I can bet. xD!

- The word going around backstage RAW last night was that management was very happy with Jeff Hardy's work during the Vince McMahon angle as well as the main event. They were also very happy to hear the loud pop he received after pinning WWE champion Randy Orton. Management is now firmly behind him, thus he will be receiving a big push now and the feeling is that Jeff is ready to accept the responsibility that goes along with it.
Glad they've acknowledged the loud pop Hardy got when he pinned Orton -it was a great moment to watch. Also glad that they're 'firmly behind' Hardy and will finally be on the end of a big push.

TNA's Bill Behrens, Mr. Hughes, Rocky King, and Thunderbolt Patterson were among some of the people who addressed the Commission. WWE also had an attorney present but he did not address the Commission.

- WWE will be taping two weeks worth of television on 2/4, 2/5 and 2/6 in Texas. All three WWE brands will be taking part in an international tour from 2/9 until 2/14th.
On 2/4 in Austin, WWE will tape 2 episodes of WWE Monday Night RAW. One episode of SmackDown and one of ECW will be taped on 2/5 in Corpus Christi, and 1 episode of SmackDown and one of ECW on 2/6 in Houston.
Well that's sure as hell unusual. Feels like 1996.
This should give us a good idea of what No Way Out will hold in store long before it happens at least. Hopefully they haven't forgotten how to book for shows like this, whereby you split the guys into "A" and "B" and whatnot.
Gotta love us them spoilerz.

-- In Canada, the most searched name in sports during 2007 was Chris Benoit.
-- Last night's edition of ECW on Sci Fi scored a 1.26 cable rating, with 1,760,000 viewers.
-- Indy wrestler Silas Young has reportedly signed a WWE Developmental deal. No date as of yet to when he will start but he will most likely be at OVW.

- Both dark matches received no crowd reaction, except from the guy next to me who thought the ECW dark match was live as he called three of his friends.
- There were between 6,000 and 6,500 fans in attendance with two-thirds of the upper deck tarped off.
- Ric Flair got the biggest pop of the evening.
- Batista & Rey Mysterio got big pops as well.
- JBL looked miserable all night. A lot of people were looking for a Y2J appearance.
- The Great Khali match was a big waste and the crowd knew it.
- Many were disappointed that there was no Undertaker.
- The 6 man tag was probably the best match of the evening.

He's not "rarely" there after PPVs, he usually is there. If he ever isn't it's not without explanation.

He's in a world title feud that doesn't require his death on PPV so him not showing up should be taken as a big deal.

Crash Test:
Quote
Former WWE star Andrew "Test" Martin wrote in a blog on his MySpace page on Tuesday that he plans on retiring from professional wrestling after a wrestling tour in Ireland next March. He has been wrestling since 1997 and he will be turning 33 years old at around the time of his final tour. Here are some excerpts from his blog regarding his forthcoming retirement:
"I've talked to my "Better half" and we decided that Ireland will be my "last hurrah."
"They say nobody retires from wrestling. I can't tell you how much I hate to hear guys say "it's all I know" and keep working long after they should and die or be permanently [sic] disabled. You have to come to terms when you ask yourself what is your health worth? To me? You can't put a price on it! So what are you wrestling for? One man's greed so he might throw you a bone? I loved wrestling, it was good to me. I'm still young, I'm in the shape of my life I've got some money tucked away. I never got into wrestling to be rich and famous."
After talking about a story regarding Bret Hart: "Bret left with his head high and still with the respect of the "boys" and I'm talking the "real boys," the ones that wouldn't stab you in the back and shake your hand to your face! This business is full of those people, "PIRATES," "all for one and one for all..."
"I was told my problem was I never "kissed enough ass." As we all know wrestling is not real and it is very political backstage and as a man I could never bring myself to consort with the people that I didn't care for even if that meant making less money and not getting a world title. The world title is not real but my dignity was and I feel I never comprimised it. I said "no" to Vince a few times which I was told is unheard of and the kiss of death. I personally don't have bad things to say about Vince. I can appreciate what he's done! I wonder what it's like to have everyone [sic] who works for you tell you yes and your ideas are great because they are terrified about losing their job. I will never know nor do I want to."
"So what now [sic]? Start a real existence. Get married, have some kids, work a normal job (I'm not someone who can sit around, I did it for 8 months there is nothing satisfying about it), maybe get a belly from Babs' cooking but that will be hard to do since I do all the cooking. Their are few guys that can walk away from this business with their health and a little wealth but like I said, "what's your health worth?"
"Thanks to all my fans and please stay in contact I still love to hear from you. I am at peace.. I have no bad words to say about anything or anyone. That doesn't mean I won't have a few chuckles with "the real boys" at peoples' expense, who I'm sure know who they are."
At the end of his blog, Martin states that he never changed his middle name to Test. As the old rumor goes, he supposedly changed it so that he could continue to use his wrestling name after his first release from WWE: "I saw on Wikipedia [sic] or whatever it's called that I legally changed my middle name to TEST so I could have the right to it. For the record, "please" I would never disrespect my parents by changing Andrew James Robert Patrick Martin."
It's kind of a shame to hear that he's leaving the business because when he was good, he was good.
All the best to him and whatever other generic crap you can think of.
It's also interesting to note that he's chosen to retire when the world of wretling looks like it'll take a much harder stance on performance enhancing drugs.

- The general feeling within WWE on Mr. Kennedy is that his current program with Shawn Michaels is sort of a "sink or swim" situation for him and if he doesn't step up, he'll be reduced to working mid-card matches for the rest of the near future. Sources say Kennedy is listening to any and everyone for advice on how to improve his skills in the ring. Kennedy is said to have little confidence in his own skills as a performer, which could be the reason he has been trying new finishers and new things in the ring. Kennedy used to be close with Steve Austin, but Austin recently said in a media interview that Kennedy is listening to too many people.
Kennedy sucks. I feel bad that's he's one of those self doubters, but he still sucks.

Probably worth reading at least once, but definitely good enough to skim through.

Former WWE star Damian Demento is now a 'YouTube Shooter'. He's posted up a few videos on YouTube with his thoughts on a few things relating to pro wrestling. Previously, he was posting up videos displaying his art work, but he's now talking about wrestling.
In one video, Damian Demento is angry with WWE because they brought up his name & put up his picture on the company website to hype the 15th Raw Anniversary show a few weeks ago. His name is frequently brought up when people look back on the history of Raw because he wrestled Undertaker in the main event of the debut edition of Raw in 1993. He is angry because he thinks fans on the Internet will talk negatively about him and say that he was a "nobody" because he never won a title or had a major angle. He then adds, "I'll say this much though. I maintained my integrity and my reputation, and nobody can take that away from me. So all you little ring rats out there, that are going to start saying crap, you have no idea, no idea. I didn't ask for this. So keep your stupid comments to yourself. So what is said. So what is written. So shall it be done." You can see that video at this link.
He also posted another video relating to his phone number circulating among people in wrestling. Apparently, after WWE put up his picture on their website, he started getting phone calls from wrestling convention promoters looking to book him. Demento said, "Thanks a lot Vince McMahon. Now I'm getting phone calls from trade show agents who wanna book me. What do they think, I'm I'm stuck in the past? I didn't ask for this crap. Because you guys went and put my picture up on your website, people think I'm out there and I'm still living Damian Demento. It's in the past. And I wanna know who gave out my (expletive) phone number. I don't wanna be getting phonecalls. I put wrestling, way behind me... I'm gonna find out... And it better not be who I think it is..." You can view that video at this link.
There's also a video where he challenges Vince McMahon. He says that if you search on YouTube, there's a bunch of videos showing botched spots from wrestlers. He doesn't want wrestlers taking these unnecessary risks because they can seriously hurt themselves. He challenges McMahon to put an end to wrestlers doing those high flying spots. He then switches subjects and encourages the usage of steroids. "Frankly, wrestling's fake and I wanna see a freak show. I don't want to see a 190 pound guy or a 210 pound guy. I want to see a freak out there. That's what it's all about." He then says that he's going to be 50 years old soon, and if he could get a hold of steroids, he would take them because he's competing against a bunch of younger guys in the construction business who could take his spot. He feels if they could get make him more physically capable to do his job, he'd use them because it would mean more money and more food on the table for his family. You can view that video at this link.
It should also be noted that he's apparently "acting" to a degree in these videos. In one reply to a person on YouTube, he wrote, "You're not supposed to laugh. Haven't my acting classes paid off? I'll have to crank it up a notch... without profanity. thanks, I think you "get it" unlike others." Also, he had an old account on YouTube, but closed it a few weeks ago. He did a rant on the Iron Sheik, but thought it was a mistake after people started posting negative replies to the video. He said his views in the video weren't his real views. He wrote, "My earlier rant that I removed was a bad commentary of Sheik. It got alot of attention, but folks thought they were my views. I removed the whole site because of all the negative comments, some of which were filled with cussing."
Man this guy is quite bitter.

- WWE continues to have a lot of success overseas. The December 5th SmackDown show in Belfast, Northern Ireland drew a sellout of 7,500 fans. The December 6th show in Frankfurt, Germany drew 8,000 which was very close to a sellout crowd.
Great news. Just shows how popular the WWE are over here in the UK... hopefully they can set up that territory that there were talks about.

The Demento stuff is actually him just acting and taking the piss out of people like Warrior as far as I know. That and he's being creative with his spare time. He's not serious.

-- The new WWE Best of RAW DVD carried at Wal-Mart stores nationwide will feature an exclusive bonus DVD featuring the first ever episode of Monday Night RAW from January 1993. The show featured the following matches:
* Undertaker vs. Damian Demento
* Yokozuna vs. Koko B. Ware
* Shawn Michaels vs. Max Moon for the Intercontinental championship
* The Steiners vs. The Executioners
* Bobby Heenan comedy vignettes
* Vince McMahon interviewing Razor Ramon
-- Former WWE Diva Lauren Jones (who had a brief stint with the "Anchorwoman" reality show) is now doing a fitness DVD titled “Baywatch Beach Body Workout.”
I'm not American, so I have to ask, what's the deal with Wal-Mart always having extra bonus discs?

54 is an exceptionally long life....in Darfur.....Not here.
Anyhow Walmart is a bloodsucking corporation from hell and therefore they pay companies extra to add extra discs and then the Walmart bastards sell it cheaper than the other stores that don't have the discs so people buy the Walmart versions and therefore Walmart has dominated with their evil cocksucking tactics.
Fuck Walmart.

Listen Georgie, J.M. is a kid and to younger people 54 seems like a fairly long life. I know I felt the same way when I was a kid. You should think about it from his perspective before you say things like that.

One person under consideration for the SmackDown announcing position is Michael Hayes. Hayes has announced on several occasions over the years for different companies, dating back to the mid-80s. However, Hayes is the lead writer for Smackdown, so it may be hard for him to juggle to important duties. That could work against him landing the role. Television producer Kevin Dunn has a very short list of people he felt performed well in recent tryouts. We don't have their names yet though. A decision on JBL's replacement is expected to be finalized tomorrow by Vince McMahon.
For whoever it was that was hoping for Hayes, there's your first step forward.
Hayes is a good announcer, it wouldn't be a bad thing if he got the job.
Final announcement sometime today I'd expect.

Hayes is a good announcer, it wouldn't be a bad thing if he got the job.
Final announcement sometime today I'd expect.
Hayes is a fucking over rated cum gurgler.
If he becomes the colour commentator on SmackDown then I don't see myself watching SmackDown again (with exception to special circumstances.)
And ease up on Jamie. He's cemented himself as the official biggest nubhat on this forum with the plagurising thing so I don't think we need to be +1'ing ourselves to death to rub in the comment he made itt, especially when the copypasta job was mostly ignored.
Heh, maybe he didn't even write the comment about Helm's mother.

If you could explain WHY you think Michael Hayes is a cum guzzler, that'd be nice.
And Jamie... eh.

Actually wasn't spamming to 1000, you made a statement, I just wanted to know your reasoning behind it.

To be honest, it doesn't really matter who Vince picks. Whomever that person is, will be compared to JBL, and and will be judged based on the high standard JBL has set. So Whether it's Michael "P.S." Hayes, or anyone else for that matter.
Semi-Off Topic: The easiest announcing job in the world will go to the guy who replaces Don West. He has set the bar so low, even ants would trip over it.

Thought I'd email and let you know WWE champion Randy Orton was briefly on KDSK 5 news this morning via phone and they showed various footage of him on Raw mainly from the past year. He was on to plug the Tribute to the Troops special and mentioned how WWE does it every year and it was a blast to go over there and pay tribute. It was very brief, the interviewer then asked Randy his plans for the holiday. He said he was going to spend it with his family and he had just found out that his wife is expecting their first child so it was going to be extra special.
Maybe she sleeps around as much as Randy and it's not his.
I expect this to be announced at No Way Out, and being capped off with a Mud Pool w/ DNA Test on a Pole in the Back of An Ambulance Match at WrestleMania.

They should just give SD and ECW a three man announce team with Styles, Tazz and Cole.
As for Randy's kid, well done and best wishes.

Jiso posted earlier about the Playboy Cover voting, and here are the results:
Quote
Playboy.com's poll asking fans to vote on their favorite Playboy cover featuring a WWE Diva is over and surprisingly, a current TNA Knockout turned out to be the winner. The winner and the runner up were the only Divas to promote the poll as Christy and Ashley both went on their MySpace pages asking fans to vote. Below are the results:
- Christy Hemme's April 2005 cover - 119,913 votes
- Ashley Massaro's April 2007 cover - 70,378 votes
- Torrie Wilson's May 2003 cover - 41,096 votes
- Chyna's November 2000 cover - 8,002 votes
- Chyna's January 2002 cover - 2,230 votes
- Sable's April 1999 cover - 1,984 votes
- Candice Michelle's April 2006 cover - 1,870 votes
- Torrie & Sable's March 2004 cover - 1,266
- Sable's September 1999 cover - 843 votes
Not surprised actually considering it said Ashley and Christy were the only ones promoting it..
But wtf, Chyna > Sable, Torrie and Candice?

Where was the Torrie & Sable cover from that list?
Anyway, despite WWE's best efforts, they still have Benoit on the Royal Rumble subsite. Just click on Rumble History on the side panel and then click 2004. From the "Past Winners" page he is removed, but on the aforementioned page there is a small photo and caption of him. All the photos of Benoit have been removed from the Rumble '04 gallery, though.

- Umaga was voted the Wrestler of the Year on IGN's Best of 2007 lists. Shawn Michaels came in at #2 and the Motor City Machineguns were ranked #3.
Umaga wrestler of the year? He's had some great matches, but not wrestler of the year.
Even HBK being #2 is debatable. He's had some phonomenal matches this year, but he was out for 5 or 6 months.
IGN are fucked up.
