I'm starting to think there will be something between Kofi and CM Punk at Mania. With Kingston's current push and the fact that they'll be in the Survivor Series match together all you really need is to have Kofi eliminate Punk at the Rumble and you're set.
Their whole basis for their tag team last year was that they were "friends on ECW" despite never going near each other, so maybe Punk didn't know that he was getting worked by the fake Jamacan accent and maybe Kofi doesn't like what his friend turned into when he went to SmackDown?
Or maybe they'll just ignore every meating the two have ever had before the Rumble.
I was talking to someone who was saying that Triple H should not be in it, because he has been in it since 18 (minus injured years). While I agree with him, I pointed out that if 26 had Triple H, Orton or Cena in the title matches, it would be Triple H's 7th time in 9 years, Cena's 6th time in 6 years, and Orton's 4th time in 5 years. Puts it into perspective about how fresh the Mania main events have been
I was thinking of Jericho/Punk or Jericho/Taker. MVP could also get the World Title push and fight a RAW guy.
With that said, I know it may not be perfectly feasible to exclude all of the triple threat from the title hunt. I just know I would prefer it that way.
how about a new angle where every time someone gets legit suspended for failing a wellness test, they have Punk go after them for being a lowlife druggy abuser?
i'm all for it tbh.
But MITB Should be win again this year.. I think we'll see the usual faces. I'm expecting close to the same match from last year. Minus henry lol
Christian
Kofi
Morrison
Miz
Matt hardy
MVP
Then (depending on how many they do this year, 6,7 or 8) I'd expect a few spot monkeys and acrobats.
Bourne
Shelton
Sheamus (Ugh)
etc
I fully expect a Kofi Win, with a small outside chance (maybe a want) for Christian. Kofi might not need it by WM. Christian probably will still need it.
If Edge is back 100%, then Its gotta be Edge/Jericho. But if he's not 100% by the RR, Maybe they could do JeriShow, E&C?
I'd still really like to see Jericho/Taker more than any of that.
Outside speculation is that we have HHH/HBK, as the DX reunion turns sour. How about another implosion? Cody vs Ted vs Randy for the WWE Title?
HHH vs HBK - Assuming both men don't hurt themselves in the TLC match, this seems a given.
Cena vs Undertaker - They didn't even bother to follow up Cena getting Tombstoned before the PPV. He went into Survivor Series, had his match came out the next night and told Sheamus to fuck off. Maybe they'll do the Shamrock/Jericho bump from 10 years ago to set up their feud in between matches (ya know, Cena is still leaving the ring when Taker starts coming down and Taker tries to walk through him as a "Fuck you, get out of my way.") They have seven weeks between TLC and the Rumble and having Cena and Taker tease beating the shit out of each other would be great. They could even have Cena come out on SmackDown and Teddy Long sends out the midcard to tell him to leave, so Cena throws them all over the top rope (too bad he wont be in the Rumble match)
Orton vs DiBiase - Ted and Cody spent eight months feuding with Triple H and then Shawn Micheals and are only in a slightly higher position from where they were. Those three matches with DX on PPV did nothing for them which would actually make this the Ted DiBiase breakout match. Unfortunately they'll probably go with Ted vs Cody at Backlash and elevate neither of them rendering any good work here useless. This last year has been terrible for pushing new guys, except for Morrison and Kofi (who oddly picked up a rocket that had "property of Montel" poorly scratched into it, and shoved it up his ass)
Jericho vs Big Show vs Edge - If Edge isn't ready then it'll be a straight one on one match with tag team partners imploding over the coming PPV's. A potential loss of the tag titles, a Rumble elimination and both guys could wind up in the same Elimination Chamber match (because fuck the draft) and that's all the friction they really need.
Money in the Bank - Kofi vs. CM Punk vs. MVP vs. Christian vs. Mark Henry vs. The Miz vs. Ziggler vs. Morrison - High spots galore as Morrison and Kofi are the only real favourites to win next year. Punk's always a chance but either Morrison or Kofi are getting the MITB push that Jeff Hardy would have got. Maybe replace Ziggler with Matt Hardy if they haven't given up on him yet.
William Regal vs Shelton Benjamin - ECW title match with Shelton winning the belt back. I'm predicting he wins at TLC with Regal schooling him in the lead up.
If Mysterio can walk again, have him face Batista and that's your card.
I'd take Edge out of there and have him involved with a celebrity (because its Wrestlemania it will happen). Throw in a couple of divas prancing around in their underwear and that should take up four hours.
Shuffle it up with HBK vs Undertaker and some combination of HHH/Cena/Sheamus depending on whether they have faith in Sheamus to keep him in the title picture until Mania.
The title adds nothing to the Taker/HBK match but I guess it'll be there although it will give away the Elimination Chamber winner if HBK wins the Rumble.
I see this match more in the vein of Rock vs Hogan in that it's what people are paying for and the addition of a title belt is an after thought.
The match would have just as much heat if Taker dropped the belt to Rey, Batista or Jericho in the lead up and the Championship belt is allowed to play a prominent role in a different feud because this one is all about Undertakers streak and "Mr. Wrestlemania" wanting to show that he's a Wrestlemania wrestler than The Undertaker.
Yeah, but don't know if Vince will want it in there cause it's already a main event level match. That means the title wouldn't be in another match, like HHH or Sheamus, which could the title as a crutch to actually get over or something. All them loverly internet reports are saying Vince wants a bunch of big exciting match-ups, so I'm just thinking that he wouldn't "double up" like that. Although I do think having the belt contested in a big deal match up would be solid, and that having two of the best fighting for it might actually make it worth something would be great. The belt in the Taker/HBK match would also give it something to make it feel even bigger than last year. But I don't know if Vince would do that.
Also, not so much a predicted card as some I'd like to see:
HBK vs. Taker - Submission match or something just to make it different than last year Cena vs. Batista - Big match, and even if us internet folks would hate on it, it would big a big deal and they could put on an alright match Edge vs. Jericho (c) - Really hoping it happens, but you never know. For the SD Heavyweight title too. HHH vs. Sheamus (c) - If they actually started booking Sheamus like a dominant powerhouse unstoppable dude, they could make this match huge. Just have Sheamus rape everyone he fights up to WM, including Orton at the Rumble. Screw his pussy champion deal and his lame wins like he had when he beat Cena. Build this dude like a freakin monster, make him big by having him Orton and the dudes in the Elimination Chamber, and by Mania they'll have a real champ. I wouldn't even care if they put HHH over. Also, probably wouldn't be, but a no DQ match would be solid, I think they'd pull that off better than a standard match. Hart Dynasty w/ Bret Hart vs. Miz / McIntyre w/ Vince - This way, Bret doesn't have to get into the ring until after the match when he throws a Sharpshooter on Vince. Vince has got the two midcard champs on his team, cause they're like "the future of his company" against the Hart folks. Very gnarly. So no actual Vince and Bret in the ring, which is good, and the four dudes all get big exposure because of this match. Christian (c) vs. Regal vs. Benjamin vs. Punk - for the ECW title. Reason for a four-way being that the SD title fourway at Bragging rights was solid, and I think a ten minute match where dudes just run in and hit their big moves (TNA style) could make for a solid mid-card match. Punk needs to be the champ on that show with a Project Mayhem-esque Straightedge faction anyways. Natalya vs. Beth - If the Harts are getting pushed, Natalya might as well be champ, and she might as well face someone who can work. MITB - I think MVP should have won this at some point, but he needs to be heel and not near Mark Henry first. Morrison could really use this (also, less goofy and heelness) to reach the next level. COuld also use a real feud, because he's near the top, he just needs something more. Rey vs. Low Ki Wasn't this supposed to happen?

I agree that the title elevates a HHH-Sheamus match, but a HBK-Undertaker match elevates the title. There's a good chance they'll do the former, but the latter is better in the long run.
As an aside, Ric Flair refused to wrestle last at WM24 because he believed the title should be the centrepiece of the show.
With Rock-Hogan and HBK-Undertaker, they were the centrepieces and HHH's main event title match died a horrible death, twice.
HBK-Undertaker needs to go on last, it's just my personal opinion that if Ric Flair stands down because the belt should be the main event, I think it only stands to reason that the belt be in the biggest match.
Either way, I'd pay for the card you wrote out without thinking about it.
Silly Vita doesn't have any Bret or Vince on there. Sticking with my win prediction of team Vince (Miz/ McIntyre) vs. Team Hart Dynasty. Probably won't happen, but it would be a solid match and give all four of the actual wrestlers a lot of attention in a big match like that. Give people a reason to care about Hart Dynasty, and maybe even give Miz or McIntyre enough cred to reach a ppv main event in the nearsih future. Or we could have Vince vs. Bret in a five minute long attrocity of a match. Whatever.
No love for Rey? I'd see him against Punk before Hardy returning.

Why not? HHH Wins the EC (for the title) , and Shawn finally totally loses it and KOs Hunter. Sets up good.
WHC: Punk(C) vs Edge Hair vs Title.
Punk wins the Elimination Chamber for the Title, after Jericho saves Punk by breaking up a pin attempt after a Last Ride, GTS to Punk/Pinfall, Jericho rushes in for a Codebreaker, Punk catches him and Slams him down, Jericho roll up, Punk Counters the roll up and wins the WHC. Edge claims he wants Punk at Mania...this leads to
Undertaker vs Jericho.
See above.
Batista Versus Rey Mysterio
Feud doesn't seem to be over, might as well milk it to WM.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Christian vs. Matt Hardy vs Evan Bourne vs Carlito vs Shelton Benjamin vs. Morrison vs Kofi vs. Bryan Danielson.
Danielson is just for the hope factor honestly. Bourne/Benjamin/Morrison for the big spots. Matt Hardy for the "Ladder Match experience" guy, along with Christian. Kofi for the awesome.
Mrs Wrestlemania Tournament Finals - Beth Phoenix vs. McCool.
They gotta do something different than the bullshit battle royal last year, and said the Mrs Wrestlemania thing was a new tradition last year. If they don't drop it, I see an Interpromotional tournament, with these 2 at the end, maybe Maryse instead of McCool to have SD vs Raw.
ECW title Match: Big Zeke Jackson(C) vs William Regal
Zeke wins the ECW EC and Regal turns on him (maybe with a returning Koslov to his side?) and it plays out this way.
That's 7 Matches.
Still Need
- Orton. So Orton vs The Legacy? Handicap? or Triple THreat match maybe?
Some sort of McMahon/Bret Hart angle. I'm thinking each will "Pick a champion" like the Trump/McMahon angle.

I didnt' explain that much. Edge gets the auto shot for winning the rumble. but Punk plays the evasive heel, and Edge suggests his Hair to get Punk to accept or something to that effect.
With this storyline SOMEONE is going to be in a Hair mask at wrestlemania. First thoughts were Hair vs Mask with Mysterio, which I'd love too, but Edge/Punk is BUYRATES.
Thinking we're going to see Batista (w/ Vince) vs. Cena (/ Bret). If that's so, I got mixed feelings about that. A rematch between the two could sell on it's own, especially if they built it on Batista taking out Cena last time. Also, it would make a lot of sense to put other dudes in the match who could use the rub. Hart Dynasty should really be involved so they can get some cred. Just makes sense. Bringing in big names means good buys generally, but it's a good call to connect the big name to a wrestler so that it can help someone long term. Hart Dynasty could have used this, as could tons of other dudes on the roster. Like Lashley and Umaga. Lashley may have been shoved down our throats, but the point is that he was getting attention and being built up (even if it was just to get tooled by Cena later on). All that said, Cena vs. Batista wasn't going to be a huge deal on the card if it was competing with two title matches as well as a Hart / McMahon thing and potentially the HBK/Taker rematch. Don't knwo what the card was like, but there was a chnace of this just being another match. Putting these guys in with Bret and Vince will make it a lot bigger, and kinda the co-main event. Ya also get Cena winning to make it 1-1 for these guys, and probably a sharpshooter on Vince to makes folks happy. So yeah, maybe not the best choice in regards to potentially giving some young stars a big boost, but hey, it's gonna be a big match... maybe, since none of it's really confirmed yet anyways.

THE GRUDGE MATCH OF THE MILLENIA
Underaker v. Shawn Michaels
-It's gonna Main Event Wrestlemania. Go ahead and try to tell me it shouldn't. Too bad, because it is and it should. There aren't two guys going, even though they're at the end of the rope, that can put on a better match than Taker and Shawn. Last years match was amazing, it was something I'll always remember. I can barely remember the rest of the card, the only thing I remember is that this match tore the house down. The crowd will be even more electric than last year, and I would kill to be able to be there. WWE is jerking our chain trying to make us think it won't. But why build something that won't happen? I have a feeling this might be it for Taker, Shawn will follow soon thereafter. And they'll close out their careers with one of the best matches of all time.
World Heavyweight Championship
Edge v. Chris Jericho(c) v. CM Punk
-It's almost a foregone conclusion that this is gonna happen. The pieces are all set, Edge has his title shot, and there is no reason why WWE would be cockteasing us all with HBK and 'Taker if it weren't going to happen. Jericho wins, as HBK gets involved and costs Taker his title at the Elimination Chamber. I'm placing Punk in here because WWE has a thing where they need a Triple Threat title match.
WWE Title
Shaemus(c) v. HHH
I hate both of them. I really do. I find Shaemus to be boring, Haitch is Haitch. This is practically these two workout buddies jerking each other off. But HHH and Shaemus haven't faced off before, so this is bound to happen.
NXT Title
Bryan Danielson v. Kawal (aka lo ki)
-This genius idea just hit me about an hour ago. You want to prove the validity of this new show. Put on two new guys that aren't exactly new, but to the WWE marks they are. I don't think it'll go on very long, but the match will be very good and careers will skyrocket.
Hart v. McMahon
John Cena v. Batista
-This atrocity will occur. I didn't find their last match to be any good. I watched it and I was meh the entire time. This is a money maker match. This is all about a big headline with two headliners participating. Hopefully Bret Hart can teach these two numbskulls something and the match will be better. The Hart Dynasty really should be here, they really really should. But because WWE booking completely forgot that you could do Cena and Batista and not need Hart/McMahon attached, the Dynasty won't be involved whatsoever.
Legacy Breaks Up
Randy Orton v. Cody Rhodes v. Ted Dibiase
-They've been teasing all three of them arguing for a few weeks. So I'm betting this goes on. I think DiBiase could get the win here, as all the news is that WWE is high on DiBiase.
MitB Ladder Match
Kofi Kingston v. Evan Bourne v. John Morrison v. Christian v. Kane v. Matt Hardy v. Jack Thwagger v. Shelton Benjamin v. MVP v. Dolph Ziggler
-You know the drill. Kofi or Morrison go over. They're right there, they just need one more moment and the MitB is it.
Divas Title v. Womens Title
Maryse v. Mickie James
-I have a feeling Mickie is going to retain, but if she doesn't throw Phoenix in here. It's something to do, and plus Maryse said she'd buy me something nice with her Wrestlemania bonus.
Intercontinental Title
Drew McIntyre v. R-Truth
-Vita, I stole this idea from you. But I think it makes sense. Props. Not to mention I'm struggling for ideas now.
Tag Titles
Hart Dynasty v. The Miz Show
-I find it hard to believe WWE would keep Miz and Show off the card. I don't see anyone being put up against Miz's US Title without really hurting the Money in the Bank.
I expect them to give us Shawn vs Taker but if they don't here's what I'd go with.
No Way Out
- Raw Elimination Chamber Match - Winner Sheamus
- SD Elimination Chamber Match - Chris Jericho
- Batista vs HBK, Stips- If HBK wins he gets Taker at Mania but if Batista wins he gets Bret Hart at Mania. Bret has faith in Shawn and agrees to this. Match ends with Triple H costing HBK the match "by accident". Batista tries to beat on DX until Cena makes the save, stare down with HHH ensures and later in the Chamber HHH breaks up a Cena pinfall and pedigrees him out of the match.
Raw
NASCAR drivers are friends of Cena and tell Cena that if he can beat HHH in the main event, they'll make Batista vs Bret Hart into Batista and Vince vs. Hart and Cena. Shawn is appalled that Hunter wouldn't just lay down. Hunter tries to cheat during the match but Cena wins. After the match, Batista attacks Cena, HBK makes the save until HHH lays him out with the sledgehammer.
They teased something between HHH and Big Dave when DX were on SmackDown a couple of weeks ago that made me think they might form an alliance.
SmackDown
Taker's pissed he lost his title, wants a Mania rematch but Vince forces him to face Punk for the title shot (remember that bullshit with Vince trying to screw Taker every week late last year on SD? Well it's back.) Punk wins thanks to his cult but Edge clears house, announces that Jericho and Punk are geeks and shouldn't be main eventing Mania so it'll be a triple threat match.
Undertaker rapes Teddy Long in his limo again, says he's going to Raw to do the same to Vince.
Raw
Taker finds Vince by himself, threatens to rape his daughter again so Vince gives him a title shot against Sheamus. Triple H doesn't seem to care.
Main event that night is HBK and Taker vs HHH and Batista. Faces lose thanks to Sheamus interference.
Mean while Orton and his twink pron guys' conga line buttfuck gets tangled.
Wrestlemania
World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Jericho (c) vs CM Punk vs Edge
WWE Championship
Sheamus vs The Undertaker
GRUDGE MATCH YEAAAAHHH
Triple H vs Shawn Michaels, maybe a street fight or some gimmick.
Tag Team Match
Vince and Batista vs Cena and Bret - Has to end with Vince getting punched out and put in the sharpshooter.
Money in the Bank
Kofi vs R-Truth vs Morrison vs MVP vs Evan Bourne vs Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry vs. Shelton Benjamin
Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase - Special Ref Cody "I'm torn between my friends" Rhodes
NXT Champion
Christian vs Zach Ryder, Tatsu or Danielson
US Title
Drew McIntyre vs Rey Mysterio (forgot about Rey)
Of course, if I'm totally mark booking I'd add in this:
Money In The Bank would involve a Shawn Michaels run in where he'd work the last few minutes of the match and win the case, then he'd go on to face The Undertaker after he beats Sheamus for the WWE Championship. Both men would be broken down from their earlier matches which would add to the suspense.
