There you go. an "Ultimate Fighter" style show with a WWE Twist. I hope this is closer to TUG than Tough Enough. The thing I find interesting about this is, several of these guys have been wrestling for years.
I mean, OMG DANIEL BRYAN LERNZ 2 WRESTLE ON WWE NXT is kinda gay, and this guy and Kaval should be the class of this "season".
I mean, i could see good things for this program, and especially if paired with The Ultimate Fighter on one night, it could be a ratings swoon tbh. Like, what if the guys pair up and perform matches they setup themselves, then the bookers come out and tell them what they liked, what they didn't like and such, and its VERY much a "how wrestling works backstage" show..then Its fucking awesome. It'll be interesting to see how the winner goes...What about you get down to 2 finalists, and then the "WWE Universe" votes on who wins and they tell who wins by who gets booked to win this epic match in the finals?
For me, the deciding point on this will be how much "Wrestling 101" it is and how much "Sports entertainment" it is. I mean, if its just fluff pageantry, then whats the point? I hope they aren't like.. "Ok, this is how to do an armbar, Jericho, Show'em" ARMBAAAAR!! I hope they open with something like "These are guys down in developmental we feel are close to ready for the next step. WWE NXT is their big shot to make the Main roster" and such.
And how "real" is it going to be? Are these guys going to see Bryan Danielson and be like "Whoa, I've been watching this guy for a long time, he's lights out awesome" or will it, in typical WWE Fashion, make no mention of anything, FCW or otherwise, and these guys are "Guys off the streets"?
I guess we'll just have to tune in to find out. In reading the news about it that came out today, My curiousity is piqued, and I'm definitely going to be here watching it Next Week or whenever it debuts. Ah yes, Next Tuesday, Feb 23rd.
Honestly, this is a point I was hoping someone would bring up, sorta. With Danielson and Low Ki being so tenured and good, It wouldn't surprise me if the reason they haven't debuted "Kaval" before now and the reason they signed "Daniel Bryan" was for this concept they were trying to get over.
Now, I hope this show is fucking legit. Or as legit as possible being the WWE, but What if all of this was a work to get Danielson and Low Ki before Debuting them to the masses? lol

* Matt Hardy & Justin Gabriel (presumably Justin Angel)
2. The Miz is going to teach Bryan Danielson. Say that out loud a few times and let it sink in. Also look for The Miz's in ring work to become more stiff as he ups his game over the coming months.
I kinda like this. Seeing new superstars getting pushed. I give this a month for fans to lose interest in it. Just like most things WWE produces. They also need to get rid of superstars that seems useless now.

I mean, Miz is pretty over so I guess than can help with the rub on a 'new guy' to the wwe audience, but then some dude gets carlito? talk about bad luck. Also, could you come up with a more odd ball pairing than miz and danielson? I know Benoit/Danielson would have been perfect, but clearly theres got to be someone better than Miz to partner him with.
Also, with all the rumours of Kaval/Mysterio, wouldn't it make perfect sense to start them off together?
Its all speculation at this point, but I would assume it would be something like a personal coach, giving the "hard realities" of the WWE life and wrestling all th etime and such lol
Because Miz can totally make sure that Danielson know that Injuries JUST MIGHT happen!
Maybe the Miz will help Danielson with promo skills. That is all I can see with that. Otherwise this show seems to be good I can see more reality in this show then wrestling.
That's actually a really good point. The Miz DID get over with his mouth and not his ability, and honestly, I don't know how Danielson's promo skills are, I can't recall a promo from him taht I've heard. But if Danielson's workrate + Something Akin to the Miz's mic work, then he's going to be crazy over when he hits the Main roster.
Danielson isn't a slouch on the mic. I won't say hes like Dusty Rhodes good, but hes good enough for WWE standards. If Batista can get over with a "I want a rematch" promo thirty times over, Danielson will be fine.
Danielson will probably end up teaching Miz. And quite frankly this is the one pair where the student will overcome the teacher early and Danielson might take Miz's US Title.
That would be funny if that happened. Danielson is a better wrestler then the Miz, Maybe Danielson is coming in as a heel? Not sure yet since we don't know whether there going to be face or heel.
I'm really confused by the people there having train period. of course Al Snow taught tough enough so I guess jobbers are technicaly better wrestlers. Least Hardcore Holly isn't going to be able to beat the shit out of some trainiee
Big difference is that the Tough Enough guys were people off the streets, these guys have been in developmental for a while now. I don't think we're gonna heed Hardcore Holly to show Daniel Bryan how much a Chop hurts or something idk.
If its like TUF then its a prety good concept, I'm more interested in seeing what a Bryan Danielson WWE style match would look like. I wonder if he'll have his shit toned down like CM Punk did, or will he get the RVD/Benoit treatment where they were allowed to just do their thing.
